Ordering Graduation Products
- Go to www.herffjones.com.
- Go to "Graduation" then "Shop Your High School" and search for Ben Davis High School.
- Click "Shop Grad Products".
- From here you may shop many graduation packages. If you only want to order the cap and gown, click "Grad Gear & Apparel".
- Scroll to the bottom of the page where you will find the required Rental Gown/Keep Cap and Tassel Unit.
- When finished ordering, click on the cart icon and "Checkout." If you wish to lock in the price without paying online, please call 317-731-5413.
Graduation Ceremony
The Class of 2025 graduation ceremony will be held outside at Ben Davis High School on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. (subject to weather delays).

Ceremony Practice
- Practice for the graduation ceremony will begin Saturday morning, June 7, 2025 at 8:00 A.M. (subject to weather delays). The practice will run for approximately two hours, but this time is NOT guaranteed. The practice time will depend upon student participation and cooperation. All participants are required to attend practice in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
- Graduates must have their own transportation to both the morning practice and the evening ceremony.
Fees
Admission Tickets
- Tickets will be distributed to students at the end of graduation practice. Each graduate will have access to TBA number of tickets for admission to the graduation ceremony. Lost/Stolen tickets cannot be replaced, so students are responsible for their safekeeping.
- For those who are unable to attend, a live stream of the ceremony will be available on our Ben Davis High School website.
Graduation Attire
The price will increase the longer you wait to order. In May cap and gown delivery will be available for pick up during lunches and after school from 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. Seniors will pick these up during lunch shifts and after school from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
- All graduates must wear the regulation 2025 cap and gown purchased through Herff Jones. Order online at www.highschool.herffjones.com.
- Gowns should be hung up as soon as possible to take care of most of the wrinkles. If the gown needs to be pressed, a cool iron should be used.
- Graduates are to dress formally or semi-formally.
- Only school-approved Honors Cords may be worn by graduates These include: National Honor Society, Honors Diploma Recipient, Technical Honors Diploma Recipient, Armed Services, and Vincennes University cords.
- Graduates may decorate their caps to celebrate their accomplishments. All cap decorations must follow the school dress code.
- If caps and gowns are not purchased and picked up by Friday, May 30, 2025 those graduates’ names will be removed from the graduation seating chart.
Additional Graduation Ceremony Information
- Coolers and helium/mylar balloons are not permitted for any purpose anywhere.
- BDTV will livestream the ceremony on YouTube and the footage will be archived on the Ben Davis YouTube page.
- Graduates are encouraged not to bring any valuables with them, including cell phones. Graduates will not be permitted to carry these items during the ceremony.
- Graduates will receive a diploma cover upon crossing the platform during the graduation ceremony. Graduates will receive their diplomas after the ceremony.
Guests with a ticket should plan to arrive early. Doors open an hour and a half before the start of the ceremony. All guests will pass through security. The ceremony will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicap seating is limited to a designated area. Handicap seating will be limited to the individual needing wheelchair/handicap access and one family member.
Graduation Policy Statement
Graduation from high school is an event which comes only once in a lifetime. Your parents, relatives, friends and most importantly you, deserve a graduation ceremony that will be dignified and memorable. Your cooperation is essential. The following guidelines explain what is expected of you:
- Formal or semi-formal attire is appropriate for a commencement ceremony.
- Any decoration or deviation from the traditional cap and gown that would draw undue attention to the individual is inappropriate for the occasion.
- Students may wear school-approved cords, and they may decorate their caps to celebrate their heritage and/or accomplishments. All decorations must comply with the school dress code and policies. Any other deviation from the traditional cap and gown that would draw undue attention to the individual is inappropriate for the occasion.
- Any behavior that draws attention to the individual or detracts from the dignity of the ceremony itself will result in exclusion from the ceremony.
